Students often feel the pressure to live up to the expectations of others or expectations they put on themselves. Jesus offers a different path. The path of freedom.

Teaching Series Overview:

Lesson 1: Freedom from Sin
Bible Verses: Romans 6:14-18
Bottom Line: Jesus’ work on the cross breaks the power of sin in our lives … so we can choose to obey God and live by the Spirit.

Lesson 2: Freedom from Perfection
Bible Verses: 1 John 1:8-9
Bottom Line: God knows we aren’t perfect … so He offers unending grace as we pursue Him and the ways of His kingdom.

Lesson 3: Freedom from Religion
Bible Verses: Matthew 11:28-30
Bottom Line: Following Jesus is not about empty rules…so we can trust the Holy Spirit to guide us through the Bible and our community.

Lesson 4: Freedom from Shame
Bible Verses: Lamentations 3:22-24
Bottom Line: God leads us with love and not shame…so we can resist feeling hopeless and receive His mercies every day.

Bible Study 1: Freedom to Serve

Bottom Line: God’s freedom allows us to release to Him all the pain others have caused us and forgive them the way God has forgiven us.

Bottom Line: God’s freedom teaches us to look at suffering as an opportunity to deepen our trust in Him.
